Get ready for distribution of Ramzan Tohfa to Muslims, officials told
Joint Collector-2 V Venkata Subbareddy directed the officials to take measures for conducting Ramzan smoothly which is likely to be celebrated on June 17. Joint Collector-2 has reviewed with officials at his chamber on Wednesday on the arrangements for Ramzan.

Speaking at the meeting, Joint Collector-2 said that devotees will start their activities from 3 am in the early morning. Authorities have to give permissions to the hotels, fruit shops early in the morning near to mosques, he added. He also instructed the Corporation authorities to maintain hygienic conditions in the Eidgah grounds in the city and police to set up barricades at the grounds for conducting prayers.
He also said that authorities in Nellore Municipal Corporation and also in all municipalities in the district have to plan accordingly for providing amenities in connection with the festival.
Officials have to make arrangements for drinking water and power supply at the Eidgah grounds, he stated. JC-2 instructed the DSO to prepare plans for distributing Ramzan Tohfa. DRO V Venkatasubbaiah, Naidupet RDO Seena Naik, Minorities Welfare Officer Ismail and others were present.
