Forum for Child Rights and Child Line organising a rally to create awareness on child marriages and child protection law
Vijayawada: Child marriages and rape of children would hamper the growth and development of society, said Two-Town Circle Inspector J Murali Krishna here on Tuesday.He participated as chief guest in an awareness rally organised by Forum for Child Rights and Child Line – 1098 at YSR Colony.
Addressing the gathering, Murali Krishna appreciated the selfless service of Child Line in protecting the homeless and street children. He said that by educating girl child would pave way for good society.
Sarpanch K Ravi Kumar appealed to parents to provide education to girl child.
ICDS supervisor Padmavathi informed that one should complain about child marriage to Child Line 1098 or dial 100.
Child Line district coordinator A Ramesh opined that the parents and elders should safeguard their children from harassments and rapes.Jessy of World Vision, SI NLN Murthy, NGOs SJ Raju, TA Mary and others were present.
