Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy alleged that the opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been making unnecessary comments against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for giving a handshake to the AICC President Rahul Gandhi. Somireddy said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP Chief Amit Shah had tried their level best to suppress the federal system in the country.

“TDP MPs had questioned about injustice done to the State in the Parliament in front of the Prime Minister. But, the YSRCP MPs have not demanded anything for the state,” said the Agriculture Minister.

Somireddy informed the TD leaders not to criticise Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan as his tour will not dent the prospects of the TD in the next elections. He also exuded the confidence that they would meet again after party winning the general elections in 2019.

Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said that the Chief Minister had given top priority for agriculture and industrial sectors for overall development of the state.

He criticised the Central government for deliberately neglected progress of the state and not fulfilling the bifurcation promises of granting railway zone with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters, steel factory in Kadapa district, Dugarajapatnam port in Nellore and other national institutes to the State.

Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy was demanding only special status to AP. He was not aware of other 19 points which were included in the AP Reorganisation Act,’ slammed Narayana. He also questioned Pawan Kalyan whether he was aware special status benefits.

MLC B Ravichandra, NUDA Chairman K S Reddy, city Mayor Abdul Aziz, MLAs P Srinivasulu Reddy, B Rama Rao, and K Ramakrishna, senior leader B Mastan Rao, K Vijayarami Reddy and others were present. Former Minister and TDP state general secretary Anam Ramanarayana Reddy continued his dissatisfaction over the party and skipped Mahanadu.
