VDFA terms Professional Super League Football Assn as illegal
The Visakhapatnam District Football Association (VDFA) led by its president Kosaraju Gopalakrishna and his team are striving to promote and save football in Visakhapatnam, as a few people are trying to disturb the VDFA’s hard work and football game by planning to organise unauthorised football tournament at the Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) ground.
Visakhapatnam: The Visakhapatnam District Football Association (VDFA) led by its president Kosaraju Gopalakrishna and his team are striving to promote and save football in Visakhapatnam, as a few people are trying to disturb the VDFA’s hard work and football game by planning to organise unauthorised football tournament at the Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) ground.
Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Kosaraju Gopalakrishna alleged that Vankara Laxmipathi, Sominaidu, Prasad and Dr SV Adinarayana have been disturbing the VDFA’s activities with false claims, allegations and also with false cases against VDFA.
The four people, who had done nothing for the football game in the past, started an illegal football association named as Professional Super League Football Association and decided to organise a football event illegally at the Visakha Port Trust ground in the city.
He added that the VDFA wrote to its affiliated clubs to advice the players to not to participate in the illegal tournament and also wrote letters to Visakhapatnam north MLA P Vishnu Kumar Raju and Chairman of VPT MT Krishna Babu not to allot the VPT ground for the illegal tournament being organized by the four-persons in an unauthorised manner without obtaining permission from VDFA.
The VDFA members also added that they lodged a complaint with the city police against the four persons for planning to organise the illegal football tournament and urged the police to take action against them.
