He submitted a memorandum to the divisional manager with various demands such as the sanction of a 6th platform in addition to the sanctioned 4th and 5th platforms, escalators, toilets etc on upcoming 4th and 5th platforms, toilets on the premises of railway station, sweet stalls particularly for selling Godavari sweets and continuation of railway school where poor children have been studying, halts to four important express trains in the station, increase of reservation counters in East station being many more.

The MP said that about 400 steel chairs would be provided through MP LADS. Out of them, 200 chairs would be allotted to town railway station and the remaining to other stations in his constituency.

Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai assured to maintain railway school on its own and also start junior college on the same premises.

She also said the corporation would construct toilets and hand over them to railway department for maintenance.

Rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary said road on East railway station was developed as 80 feet road to ease traffic movement and asked him to give at least six feet of land on main entrance side for road expansion.

The corporation decided to expand the road to avoid traffic problem.
