Amaravati: Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishna accused the BJP state president KannaLakshminarayana of ignoring Kapu reservation and Special Category Status (SCS) issues in his representation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a release on Wednesday, Yanamalasaid Lakshminarayanasubmitted a 12-point representation to Modi mentioning AP issues. But, he intentionally ignored Kapu reservations issue and SCS which clearly exposed the stance of BJP over the key issues of AP, Yanamala said.

He said, “The state Assembly passed unanimous resolution over Kapu reservations and sent the same to the Centre. But the BJP-led Central government has kept the issue pending. Even the BJP state president also remained silent over the issue.”

He alleged the BJP, YSRCP and Jana Sena were trying to create confusion among people and indulging in destructive politics. Taking serious note on the comments of YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy that the Polavaram and Amaravati are the two cinemas, Yanamala said due to lack of knowledge he was making commenting like this. “Jagan always thinks about power politics.

He insulted the people who benefited with two prestigious projects – Polavaram and Amaravati. He must apologiseto people of Andhra Pradesh,” he demanded.

Yanamala also said the BJP-led Centre was working with an agenda to weaken the state governments by emptying their exchequers and imposing more burdens. “Due to this attitude, the state governments are weakening while the Centre is getting stronger financially.

It must realisethat the mighty of the Centre is linked with the strength of states,” he said. He requested the Centre to change its lopsided policies and give helping hand to the states which were suffering from financial hardships.
