Dharna for steel plant in Kadapa

Anantapur: Rashtra Vidhyavanthula Vedika has organised a dharna at the local RDO office here on Saturday, demanding the Central government to keep up its promise of establishing a steel plant in Kadapa district as part of the special packages made under the 2014 AP Reorganisation Act.
The vedika members are all unemployed graduates, who are fighting for the Kadapa steel plant with the slogan “Kadapa Ukku-Andhrula Hakku”.
Speakers one after the other stated that the Kadapa steel plant alone would address unemployment problems of backward Rayalaseema districts.
The steel plant at Visakhapatnam was a boon to the five districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari districts.
