Guru Aaradhana of Sadgurus starts in Vijayawada
The Guru Aaradhana of sadgurus Susarla Dakshinamurthy Sastri 101th vardhanthi and Parupalli Ramakrishnaiah Pantulu 67th vardhanthi was commenced at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College here with great devotion by the Sishyas and Prasishyas of the legendary gurus on Wednesday
Vijayawada: The Guru Aaradhana of sadgurus Susarla Dakshinamurthy Sastri (101th vardhanthi) and Parupalli Ramakrishnaiah Pantulu (67th vardhanthi) was commenced at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College here with great devotion by the Sishyas and Prasishyas of the legendary gurus on Wednesday.
Susarla Dakshinamurthy Sastry was disciple of the direct sishya of Thyagaraja Swamy and Parupalli Ramakrishnayya Pantulu was the disciple of Susarla Dakshninamurthy.
Annavarapu Ramaswamy, the sishya of Parupalli commenced the music concerts in the evening.
The duet of Modumudi Anjana Sudhakar and BV Durga Bhavani was impressive and this vocal concert was supported by P Nandakumar on violin and D Suresh Babu on mridangam.
Gayatri Devi from Guntur started the concert with “Sankari neevani” in Begada ragam and continued with “Jaya Jaya Swamin” in Nata ragam. Gayatri received appreciations from audience.
The music lovers enjoyed the concerts of P Santhi and Seshu Rani also.
The concerts were instrumentally supported by Hemadri Chandrakanth on Violin and Konda Subrahmanyam, Kalluri Srinivas and I Anjaneya Sastry on mridangam.
The programme was organised by the noted musician Modumudi Sudhakar.
