Meet for Engineering Faculty Commences at VIT-AP University
To ensure quality in engineering education and employability skills amongst students and making them industryready, the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation APSSDC and the Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education IUCEE jointly started a threeday workshop at Vellore Institute of Technology VITAP University to the engineering faculty on Thursday
Vijayawada: To ensure quality in engineering education and employability skills amongst students and making them industry-ready, the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and the Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) jointly started a three-day workshop at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT-AP University) to the engineering faculty on Thursday.
Faculty from various states participated in the workshop inaugural day.IUCEE Executive Director Dr Krishna Vedula said that this comprehensive training would be useful for practicing educators from various states to facilitate the education of teachers in the field of engineering education with VIT-AP University and AP Skill Development.
Dr CLV Siva Kumar, University Registrar, said that VIT-AP University had already introduced many Industry Oriented Programmes, Mentor-Mentee Simulation and Engineering clinics to increase their skills in engineering courses to promote country's future talent.
VIT-AP University was allotted as CM Centre of Excellence for Skill Development to conduct workshops, training and certifications on latest technologies to improve the employability skills amongst students.
The VIT-AP University welcomes IUCEE to integrate with AP State Skill Development Corporation in the coming days to conduct international level workshops, seminars, Siva Kumar added.
