Vizianagaram: Women Empowerment Cell of MVGR College of Engineering in collaboration with ‘CISCO Women Rock-IT’ conducted an interactive session for CSE and IT girl students here on Wednesday to create awareness among them on job opportunities and entrepreneurship.

Addressing the students, Subhajit Jagdev, head, CISCO Academy, Support Centre, addressed the students, regarding All India campaign-Learnathon and he helped to bridge the gap between industry work culture and students.

P Aruna Ratna Kumari, Tech Lead, IBM Vishakapatnam, spoke about growing opportunities for women in the IT sector and given a brief account about the latest technologies with some real-time examples.

V Usha Ramani, Co-Founder of Gurujada IT Solution Private Limited, Vizianagaram, who is also an alumnus of MVGR College, shared some of her life experiences and also her entrepreneurship journey.

There was a live web session by International speakers Kathy Gong, co-founder, Wafa Games, and Mary McCulloch, founder, Project Vive, on ‘Applications of IOT, drones in real-time applications and gaming. Women Empowerment Cell convener, co-coordinator, along with faculty from CSE and IT, attended the programfme.
