Karate Championship from July 22 in Ongole

Ongole: The Prakasam district Sports Karate DO Association announced that a district-level Karate Championship will be organised at Acharya Ranga Bhavan here from July 22.

The chairman of Pratibha Educational Institutions, Nalluri Venkateswarlu, District Karate Association president and chairman of district Indian Red Cross Dr Gundavarapu Raghava, Ongole town development committee president and vice-president of the district Karate Association Marella Subbarao and others inaugurated the invitation and posters of the event at a programme held at the Lavu Bala Gangadhar Bhavan.

The district Karate Association general secretary, Nalluri Mohan Rao said that the winners of the district-level championship would be selected for the state-level competition and would be awarded with prizes. 

The coaches recognised by the Karate DO Association and their students would be allowed to participate in the championship, announced Mohan Rao. If any coaches or players require recognition from the association, they are asked to contact the general secretary on phone No 9885208991.

The district convener of the Citizen Forum, Kolla Madhu, Pothineni Kiran, Taneeru Suresh, Devireddy Adinarayana, Raghuram, Meesala Chandrasekhar, Ravichandra, Venkata Reddy, G Anil Kumar and others also participated in the programme.
