Murder bid suspects’ photos released

Vijayawada: The city police on Sunday released the photographs of two suspects in connection with the attempt to murder of a woman at Satyanarayanapuram.
Uppuluri Padmaja, wife of Murali, a resident of Achari Street, Satyanarayanapuram, was injured in the attack and recovering at a private hospital. Police with the help of CCTV footage recordings identified two youth and released the photographs.
Two youth in the age group of 20 to 22 came to the residence of Padmaja on Friday afternoon and enquired about her husband Murali a private employee. After some time, they suddenly attacked her with a sharp object and tried to slice the throat of the 52-year-old woman.
Panicked with the incident, the woman raised alarm. The culprits ran towards Giri Street. The city police identified the accused in the CCTV camera footage and launched a hunt on Friday.
In-charge Commissioner of Police Kanti Rana Tata appointed 10 teams to nab the culprits, who tried to kill the woman in broad daylight at Satyanarayanapuram. On Sunday, the police released the images of two suspects.
They asked the people to inform the following phone numbers, if they found the suspects-Police Control Room 100, circle inspector, Satyanarayanapuram police station 94406 27052 and North Zone ACP 83339 93118.
