One held for illegally possessing a revolver

Vijayawada: Ajit Singh Nagar police on Monday arrested a railway contractor for possessing revolver without having licence and intimidating a woman to kill her.
According to police, a railway contractor K Venkata Krishna Reddy, 35, a resident of Gannavaram has been arrested for having a revolver without possessing licence.
Krishna Reddy is executing works in West Bengal and purchased revolver there for his security. He has extra-marital affair with a woman named Tulasi of Ajit Singh Nagar and both were living in Gannavaram.
As disputes cropped up between them last month, she deserted him and came to her mother's home in Ajit Singh Nagar. Since then Reddy has been harassing her to come to Gannavaram and stay with him. When she refused to oblige him, he threatened her with the revolver.
Panicked with the threat, Tulasi lodged a complaint with Ajit Singh Nagar police. The police booked a case under the Arms Act of 27 and under section of 506 and arrested him on Monday.
