Establish transformers as per load, demand YSRCP

Vijayawada: YSRCP city working president Malladi Vishnu, along with the party leaders and residents of 52, 55, 57, 59 divisions of Ajit Singhnagar, staged a protest in front of electricity assistant engineer’s office here on Wednesday.
Addressing a gathering, Vishnu demanded that the government and electricity department officials establish transformers as per the load and rectify the electricity metres in those divisions. He threatened to lay siege superintendent’s office if their issues were not resolved.
In the recent past, he said new houses have come up on the outskirts and the electricity department was supplying power on a single phase resulting in voltage fluctuations. There was severe power fluctuations at 11th block of Ajit Singhnagar and as a result, electric and electronic appliances in 40 houses were damaged.
He demanded that the department install transformers as per the load and supply three-phase power supply. He also urged to rectify the metres as the residents were receiving excess bill than the usage and no action was taken on the complaints. Local corporators and residents were present.
