Kadapa: Here is good news for people of Nandaluru mandal as the central government has selected it under Syam Prasad Mukhurjee National Rurban Mission (SPMNRM) which works under Union Ministry of rural development aims to promote the social economic standards of the people by stimulate local economic development enhancing basic services and create well planned Rural Clusters.

In view of preventing vast migration of people in Rajampet constituency the state government has recommended name of Nandaluru mandal SPMNRM from which 75 percent of people forced to went on migration to Saudi Arabian countries for lively hood the center okayed proposal as it has listed out one among 600 mandals in the country.

Under this concept Rs 100 crores would be allocated under 60-40 matching grant of central and state governments for providing different infrastructure facilities in the villages. According to the ZP chief executive officer M.venkateswarlu as many as 12 kinds of facilities like 1.Agro processing and Agro based services 2. Electronic delivery of Citizen Centric service 3.Digital Literacy 4.Mobile health unit 5.provision of pipeline water supply 6.higher educational facilities 7.sanitation 8.inter village road connectivity 9.skill development training for economic activities 10.street lights 11.waste management 12.village streets and drains.

He said in view of curbing migration of youth from villages to the cities central government aims at developing 300 mandals across India as growth centers over period of 3 years. Rajampet MLA and government Whip M.Mallikarjuna Reddy said there was number of branches of foreign banks established in Rajampet for exchange of foreign currency witnessed the intensity of youth migration from the constituency to Arabian countries. After he brought the issue to the notice of the chief minister N.Chandra Babu naidu the state government has recommended the name of Nandaluru mandal for SPMNRM.

“Due to lack of industries in the district our guys are forced to go on migration. They are spending bitter life in abroad even for small wages. Especially the condition of women is vulnerable as they are feeling insecure of their private life ‘Saudi Sates’. There are several instances with the police administration rescued number of women from illegal confinement of owners. In this circumstances the decision of central government in considering our mandal under SPMNRM turned us highly fortunate as guys need not to go for migration” thanks to the chief minister N.Chandra Babu naidu of his initiative” said M.Veera Reddy a local.

When contacted by Hans India district collector CH.Harikiran said that the main objective of the SPMNRM is strengthening the rural economy by providing infrastructure in the villages like witnessing in the towns. He said under this concept as many as 567 different works were identified as they were executed with the 60-40 matching grant of central and state government. He said that central government has sanctioned Rs8.56crores of its share under first installment. He said tenders would be called for proposed works after finalization of project report before 14th September.
