Fake fertilisers seized, one held
Srikakulam: Vigilance and enforcement officials led by regional officer T Harikrishna on Tuesday seized spurious urea with different brand names at Tekkali. Of the 39 bags of urea seized, 11 bags have brand name Krihbco, 22 bags with Nagarjuna brad neem coated brand and 7 bags of DAP urea.

These bags are reported to have been brought from border areas of Odisha and being sold without licence.  Officials registered cases against one D Gurumurthy of Tekkali under Section 6-A of Essential Commodities Act and also under Fertilisers Price Control Order, 1985.
