Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that quality will be given top priority in Amaravati capital city construction works. Reviewing the Amaravati capital city construction works with the officials of Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) here on Wednesday, Naidu instructed the officials not to compromise on quality.

He also directed the officials to stop construction of works if they are not up to the quality bench mark. He also asked the officials to geo-tag the works and monitor them from anywhere under the virtual system. He said the partnership in construction of capital city works was a great opportunity to the Indian companies.

“The companies should display the construction of works, material and machinery which are being utilised in the capital city works,” he added. He suggested the officials that every building should be new attraction to capital city and directed them to give utmost priority for tourism.

He instructed them to provide cycle track in Vijayawada and Guntur cities. Meanwhile, Amaravati Development Corporation chairperson-cum-managing director Lakshmi Pardhasaradhi gave presentation on the construction of roads.

Lorry owners thank CM: The Andhra Pradesh Lorry Owners Association thanked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for reducing diesel and petrol prices by Rs 2 per litre. The lorry owners’ delegation led by association president P Gopala Naidu met Naidu here on Wednesday.

The delegation said the government decision would help lakhs of lorry owners and workers. Lorry Owners Association general secretary YV Eswara Rao and treasurer N Krishna were also present.
