3rd spot for Nellore in Swachh Vidyalaya
Two schools from Nellore bagged Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar at national level for 201718 Cherloyadavalli in Atmakur mandal and Vinnamala in Naidupet have been selected and each school gets Rs 50,000 cash incentive which has to be used for improving sanitation and water sources in the school
Nellore: Two schools from Nellore bagged Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar at national level for 2017-18. Cherloyadavalli in Atmakur mandal and Vinnamala in Naidupet have been selected and each school gets Rs 50,000 cash incentive which has to be used for improving sanitation and water sources in the school.
The district achieved third place across the country in the competitions. It may be recalled that Cherloyadavalli in Atmakur mandal, Vinnamala in Naidupet and Kasturba Girls School in Kaligiri mandal have won state-level awards this year.
A central committee subsequently visited these schools and finally selected two schools for the national awards. District Collector R Mutyala Raju received the awards in New Delhi from the Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday.
