Call to promote official language

Visakhapatnam: Head  of the Department of Hindi of Andhra University Dr Meherun said that being Rashtra Bhasha (official language) Hindi is a simple language and it is our responsibility to promote the official language.

The Hindi Pakhwada (fortnight) programme, which was observed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited – Visakh Refinery (HPCL-VR), concluded  at the refinery on Tuesday.

Meherun was the chief guest and stressed the need to use Hindi in the daily correspondence to make the nation as pride. She appreciated the HPCL-VR on the implementation of the official language in the official correspondence.

Speaking on the occasion, Executive Director of HPCL-VR ASV Ramanan said that Hindi activities in the refinery increasing day by which shows the interest of the employees' involved in official language. Implementation of official language is not a responsibility of an individual, and it is a collective effort and with passion, the language would be promoted, he added.

Narisetti Raja Rao, General Manager (HR), HPCL-VR, expressed his happiness on participation of employees in various competitions held during the fortnight programme.

K Vasudeva, Manager (OL), and Sudha Mohan, Chief Manager (HR) HPCL-VR, thanked the department heads for their support during the fortnight programmes. Later, Meherun and Ramanan distributed prizes to the winners in the competitions organised during the fortnight celebrations.
