The BJP leader claimed that the development of roads for rural connectivity, the MGNREGS and Neeru-Chettu are all Central schemes and alleged that the TDP leaders were misusing these schemes for their own benefits.

Stating that Chandrababu Naidu had earlier stated that agriculture was not a productive field, Kanna said the Chief Minister had now realised that what he said earlier was a mistake.

Kanna said that  the Chief Ministers of botb AP and Telangana State recognised the potential of the rural development and had entrusted the responsibility of the sector to their sons Nara Lokesh and K T Rama Rao.

Kanna alleged that the Janma  Bhoomi  Commitees formed by the TDP government were graft committees set up  to  swindle money at lower level where as their leaders were doing  it at the State-level. “We will teach a lesson to Chandrababu Naidu in 2019 polls,” he said.

Commenting on NBW issued by a court in Maharashtra against Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP leaders, the BJP State president said that if any person does not respond to court summons for five times, the NBW will be issued. But in case of Chandrababu Naidu, he was issued summons more than 17 times, he said. Addressing the meeting, BJP official spokesperson  G V L Narasimha Rao said that  it is  a good riddance to  come out of the TDP alliance.

BJP Mahila Morcha national president and former union minister D Purandeswari alleged that the TDP was misusing the funds provided by the Centre for different developmental activities.

Party national Kisan Morcha general secretary Sudhakar Rao, former  union  minister  Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and others spoke. Kisan Morcha State president Vetukuri Suryanarayana Raju earlier welcomed the gathering.

Earlier on his arrival, Kanna was taken to the venue in a rally from Samarlakota after alighting from Ratnachal Express.  Party activists and local leaders participated in large numbers.
