Visakhapatnam: Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology (autonomous), (VIIT), organised an awareness programme on employability and mentorship on Wednesday at Duvvada. JA Chowdary, IT Adviser to Chief Minister and Special Chief Secretary, Andhra Pradesh, was the chief guest, along with CEOs of 11 companies in the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Chowdary said that the students should think in an entrepreneurial direction to generate employment for students.
The potential of youngsters is to be properly channelised by engaging them in right direction, Chowdary added.

Dr Lavu Rathaiah, Chairman, Vignan Group, said that students should understand social issues to become entrepreneurs. He asked CEOs of various companies to set up their centres in engineering institutes to offer part-time jobs to students during their course of study. Moreover, infrastructure and resources in campuses would be utilised and students would get benefited as well.

The CEOs of various companies answered to the queries posed by the students. K Pavan Krishna, CEO, Vignan Group, Dr V Madhusudhana Rao, Rector, Dr Ch Narasimham, Principal-VIIT, Prof A Sesha Rao, Principal-VIEW and Deans, HoDs and others were present.
