2K Run held for voter enrolment awareness in Ongole

Ongole: District joint collector S Nagalaxmi appealed those who have completed 18 years as on January 01 to register as voters.
She was speaking at the inauguration a 2K run, from Ongole Prakasham building to old ZP office, which was held for people awareness on voter enrolment here on Monday.
College students, youth and representatives of NGOs participated in the run.
Speaking on the occasion, joint collector said that people can utilise their right to vote in the democracy to select right candidates in a democratic system.
She advised voters not to vote based on any inducements or bribes.
Awareness campaign for enrolment of new voters are being conducted in the district based on the instructions of Election commission, she said
District revenue officer Venkata Subbaiah, STEP CEO B Ravi, Ongole revenue division officer P Kishore, Ongole tahasildar Brahmaiah, M Nageshwar Rao and others were present on the occasion.
