Rajamahendravaram: Andhra Pradesh State Forest Academy deputy director MV Prasad Rao has received Best Forest Service Award--2017 from Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at a programme held in Tirupati on Saturday.
The state government has given the award to MV Prasad Rao recognising his services in preventing smuggling of wood and other forest wealth and also for achieving targets fixed by the government.
Earlier, he worked as divisional forest officer in Chintoor forest division.
Speaking to ‘The Hans India’, the jubilant Prasad Rao said with the cooperation of office staff of all categories, targets were achieved, though it is a new division and with limited staff.
