TN U-19 football champs in CBSE South Zone Girls Football Championship-2018

Rajamahendravaram: The three-day CBSE South Zone Girls Football Championship-2018 concluded at Sri Prakash Niketan here on Sunday. 

Players across the country participated in the event.

The winners of Under-19 category are PS Secondary School, Tamil Nadu (first prize), Rise Mata Kondapalli Model Secondary School, Tamil Nadu (second prize), Delhi Public School, Bangalore and Lalaji Omeha School, Karnataka (third prize).

The winners of Under-17 Jawahar Higher Secondary School, Tamil Nadu (first prize), Ryan International School, Maharashtra (second prize) and Ashok Leyland School and Lovedale Central School, Tamil Nadu (third prize).

The players of the tournament declared with 10 goals. Under-17 category, Vijaya Lakshmi of Jawahar Secondary School, Tamil Nadu scored and in Under-19 category, Arundhathi of PS Secondary School, Tamil Nadu scored.

Sri Prakash Educational Group joint director CH Vijay Prakash said that practice gives wonderful results and every player should practice everyday without fail. The winners of the tournament were the example in this regard.

 The management was putting its efforts to create good players from the school in various games and sports.

K Gopala Krishna said sports and games help to enhance competitive spirit and also helps to maintain sound health along with identity quickly.

CBSE observer S Gangdhar, senior principal MVVS Murthi, chief academic promoter ASN Murthi, principal Vimala, primary section in-charge B Sridevi, district sports federation coach Maria Jolu, Subbarayudu, J Murthi, Sunkara Nagendra Kishore and others were present.
