GMCANA offers 35 cr for Mother & Child block at GGH

Guntur: Guntur Medical College Alumni of North America representatives offered a cheque for Rs 35 crore to the district Collector and GGH development committee chairman Kona Sasidhar at a programme held at Collectorate here on Tuesday.
The GMCANA representatives submitted the cheque as part of their MoU for the construction of Mother and Child Hospital block in the GGH.
The block will be constructed at cost of Rs 65 crore. While the state government will give Rs 30 crore and GMCANA will extend financial assistance of Rs 35 crore.
Kona Sasidhar said that Mother and Child Hospital construction will start in the first week of December and added that the APMIDC will take up construction.
GMCANA representative Tripuraneni Ravikumar, GGH superintendent Dr GS Raju Naidu were present.
