Get name, fame to department: DGP Thakur tells cops

Guntur: Director General of Police RP Thakur interacted with the family members of police martyrs at Udyog Nagar near Gujjanagundla in Guntur city on Wednesday during the commemoration week celebrations.

He inquired about their problems and directed the police officers to take steps to solve their problems. Thakur assured them that he will extend his cooperation to solve their problems.

Later, he interacted with the police officers working in Guntur rural police district at Umesh Chandra Conference hall in the DPO. Speaking on this occasion, Guntur rural SP Ch Venkata Appala Naidu explained about ‘Meetho Mee SP’, Chetana, Sannihitam, Bhadra and Garuda Control Room through power-point presentation and steps taken to check the sale of gutka and khaini.

DGP RP Thakur said law and order is in control in Guntur rural police district and directed the officials to do hard work and get good name and fame to the department. Later, he inaugurated Fusion Centre and aerobic studio for police. South Coastal Zone Guntur range Inspector General of Police KVV Gopala Rao, Guntur urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao, police officers working in Guntur rural police district were present.
