Water released from Mylavaram dam
Marketing Minister C Adinarayana Reddy has released water from Mylavaram reservoir to river Penna on Wednesday Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said 475 tmcft of water is available in the reservoir
Kadapa: Marketing Minister C Adinarayana Reddy has released water from Mylavaram reservoir to river Penna on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said 4.75 tmcft of water is available in the reservoir. As the people of several villages facing drinking water shortage, Adinarayana stated the government took a decision to release water through irrigation canals.
He mentioned that it is proposed to release 1,500 cusecs of water per day for six days from Mylavaram dam. The Minister urged the people to make use of water judiciously as limited water is available in the Mylavaram reservoir. MLC Ramasubba Reddy, Rajya Sabha member CM Ramesh, TDP Proddatur Assembly constituency in-charge N Varadarajulu Reddy and other officials were present.
