Prakasam fencing tourney organised in ongole
The Prakasam District Fencing Association organised the fourth district level fencing tournament at CVN Reading Room in Ongole on Sunday
Ongole: The Prakasam District Fencing Association organised the fourth district-level fencing tournament at CVN Reading Room in Ongole on Sunday.
The association secretary, V Nageswara Rao announced that the PACE Engineering College correspondent Maddisetty Sridhar, Venkataramana Hospital MD Dr K Seetharamaiah, district Olympic association secretary Kurra Bhaskar Rao inaugurated the tournament.
He said that 200 students from all over the district participated in the tournament while team from Guru Fencing Academy won the overall championship, team from the Narayana Public School in Ongole achieved second position and the team from PVR Girls High School in Ongole achieved third position while the team from Sri Gayatri Grammer School achieved fourth position in the tournament.
He said that Prakasam district Hand Ball Association secretary J Koteswara Rao, retired PEO K Venkata Rao, Muslim Hakkula Parirakshana Samiti district president Md Ayub, orthopedic doctors Chidithoti Jeevan, Chapala Vamsikrishna and others also present as guests to the tournament.
