AISF demands facilities in hostels at ongole
The Prakasam district unit of All India Students Federation organised a rally and protest in front of the Collectorate here on Thursday, demanding that the government provide infrastructure and facilities to the social welfare hostels and address all issues haunting them for years
Ongole: The Prakasam district unit of All India Students Federation organised a rally and protest in front of the Collectorate here on Thursday, demanding that the government provide infrastructure and facilities to the social welfare hostels and address all issues haunting them for years.
The federation district general secretary, R Karunanithi said that the hostels had become homes for many problems and the students were suffering from them.
He said that the AISF had conducted a survey of the hostels and found that a number of maintenance and infrastructure issues were exist in them.
He alleged that the TDP had promised own buildings to the hostels, old rice in the menu, and others but failed in keeping them.
P Pruthvi Kumar, AISF district leader said that many girls hostels lack compound walls and bathrooms in them.
The AISF members demanded that the government address all issues in the hostels immediately.
