On the auspicious occasion of Karthika masam women releasing diyas into Godavari River at Rajamahendravaram on Friday

Rajamahendravaram: Rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary has said that the State government is taking steps to achieve women empowerment and extending necessary assistance to the women in this regard.

Distributing sewing machines to women in Hukumpeta here on Thursday, he said Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was very much particular in this regard. He directed the officials to take necessary steps.

Naidu's aim was to strengthen the economic status of women and helping them lead their families. DWACRA groups were also proving their mettle in various categories and many women started self-employment units. 

There was no dearth of funds to achieve women empowerment and the government was giving top priority for women welfare.

The MLA advised the women to avail the opportunities judiciously. SAAP director YVG Raidu and others were present.
