Visakhapatnam: The Governor of Meghalaya, HE Tathagata Roy visited Indian Naval Ship Ranvir at Visakhapatnam on Wednesday .He was accompanied by Proffesor Avdhani, Principal Andhra University College of Engineering and was received onboard by Vice Admiral Karambir Singh PVSM, AVSM, Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, ENC and Captain Swapn Gupta, Commanding Officer INS Ranvir.

The visiting dignitaries were conducted around the ship and given an overview about the rich history and operational capability of the frontline destroyer of the Eastern Fleet.

The Governor is on a two day visit to Visakhapatnam for interaction with faculty and students of Andhra University on "Capacity Enhancement of Indian Universities Towards Defence Research". He showed keen interest in affairs maritime and was presented a copy of the Indian Naval Publication Maritime Heritage of India.
