Update: 2018-11-16 05:30 IST

Tirupati: Rayalaseema Adyana Samastha is going to organise a round-table conference here on Friday, demanding separate state for Rayalaseema region. The meeting will also discuss on the need of implementing Sribagh Pact, popularly known as gentlemen’s agreement.

Rayalaseema Adyana Samastha founder Bhuman Subramanyam Reddy speaking to The Hans India on Thursday said separate state for Rayalaseema is the only solution for development of backward region. He lashed out at former Chief Ministers, who hailed from Rayalaseema, for neglecting the region development due to pressure from coastal Andhra leaders.

All the major development works and funds were sanctioned to coastal districts only, he alleged and added that HNSS and GNSS are facing shortage of funds for their completion. Bhuman came down heavily on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for not setting up the High Court in Rayalaseema region even after four-and-a-half years.
