Vijayawada: The doctors cell of Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) demanded the Andhra Pradesh state government to issue free bus passes to the kidney patients in the state on the lines of neighbouring Telangana state.

They said that the number of kidney patients was increasing in the state with each passing day.

In this regard, the APCC doctors’ cell co-chairman Dr Ambati Naga Radhakrishna demanded that the government provide APSRTC bus passes for their convenience of regular health check-up.

The patients who were suffering from kidney diseases have to attend the hospital regularly for the dialysis.

Hence the government should think of the financial struggle of the patients and provide them with free bus passes.

Dr Radhakrishna said that the Telangana government has issued free bus passes to the kidney patients.
