Mother’s Day is around the corner. It indeed is a special day, but so are all the other days. However, if you really insist on doing something special for your mother on Mother’s Day and are confused, then you are on the right page. Instead of gifting her something materialistic, this time all you daughters should do something fun with their mothers on this day. Give your mom a day that's all about her. Take your mom out for a date and spend the day doing fun activities.

Go shopping: Shopping is generally something women get pleasure from no matter how old they are.

This Sunday take your mother to the mall and try on clothes, get a make-up makeover and simply have fun. Pick some good outfits for her and get her everything she likes whether it is clothes, accessories, bags or shoes. When we were in school, she shopped for us. Now it’s time to return the favor.

Pamper yourself: So, the day is about some ladies’ fun. Since your mom works day and night, cooking, cleaning up and taking care of the household, give her a brake and take her for a good spa session. Going to a spa can be expensive but that doesn’t mean you can’t have the same experience at home. Gather together facial masks, nail polishes, fragrant candles and some chocolates and you’ll be ready to have a spa day at home.

Watch a movie together: Watching a movie with your mother can be the best thing. Prefer ‘chick flick’ movies as men don’t generally like to go to ‘chick flicks’ and women usually won’t force the issue. So, book tickets for the both of you and don’t forget the popcorn, something to drink and plenty of tissues!

Get tattooed together: Mother daughter tattoo is an excellent way to present their special relationship.
Tattoos are very significant for many people, especially when they are identical or have made together. It tells the stories of love, fights and laughter as well as it expresses the love and feelings for one another. A phrase, a name, a saying, a date, a drawing of a heart, a flower, a symbol…there are many ideas and possibilities to become a mirror engraved body of mother and daughter.

Go on a road trip: Nothing is as therapeutic as the open road, and road trips are a great way to get away from the distractions of everyday life. It’s the best time to have some heart-to-heart conversations with your mother and enjoy your favorite tunes.

Plan a Picnic: Skip the noisy, pricey restaurant and instead lay out a picnic in a quiet corner of the park. It’s a simple and classic idea. Find a basket, load it up with your favorite lunch or dinner items and get outside. Maybe bring a kite or a Frisbee and enjoy some quiet time together. And don’t forget the camera!

Take a walk: Take a walk together. This will give you an opportunity to talk and allow you to exercise at the same time. Of course, if you prefer, you can do something else to get active together. The point is to do something which is healthy for your body as well as your relationship.

Bake something together: If your love for baking comes from your mom, enjoy one of your favorite activities together by baking a gorgeous cake for the whole family to enjoy.

Pay tribute to her… at Karaoke: Pick all mom themed songs or her favorite songs for a fun spin on Karaoke night. Find a Karaoke bar with private rooms and dive into those days when your mother sang songs on top of her voices.

Go for a yoga date: If you and your mother share a love for fitness and yoga, then this one’s just for you. Take up a fitness class and learn all about exercises suit your body the best. You could also take up yoga class with your mum and learn the ancient aesthetic art form of posture and good vibes.
