Delhi: SsangYong Tivoli compact SUV is expected to launch in India later this year. Mahindra has unveiled the new SsangYong Tivoli in India at the ongoing 2016 Auto Expo. The first new crossover from SsangYong ever since the brand has been taken over by Mahindra Group, SsangYong Tivoli made world debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.

Borrowing design from SsangYong XIV Air and XIV Adventure concepts, SsangYong Tivoli is a modern crossover built for the young generation of buyers. Once launched in India, it will compete with Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Maruti S-Cross. It could be priced in a range from INR 8-14 lakhs.

To be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options, the SsangYong Tivoli receives an e-XDi 160 1.6 liter diesel engine offering 115 PS peak power and 300 Nm peak torque at 1,500 to 2,500 rpm. A 1.6-liter petrol engine will also be on offer capable of 126 bhp peak power and 160 Nm peak torque. Standing 4,195mm in length, 1,795mm in width and 1,590mm in height, the SsangYong Tivoli compact SUV sits on a wheelbase of 2,600mm and has ground clearance of 167mm making it fit to tackle complex terrains all across the country.

Interiors are spacious with 423 liters of boot volume while a high roof-line ensures plenty of headroom. Equipped with best in class infotainment and comfort features, it also gets a flat bottom setting wheel, dual zone climate controls, steering mounted controls and much more. Made of high tensile steel, safety features includes airbags, ABS, EBD, etc.
