Delhi: Veteran Bollywood actor, Anil Kapoor unveiled the new Maruti S-Cross Limited Edition at the 2016 Auto Expo today. Maruti S-Cross was launched in India back in August 2015. It is the first car which was sold through their new range of premium NEXA dealerships. Sadly, it has been experiencing some lack-luster performance in the country.

2016 Auto Expo saw the company introduce a Limited Edition of the model with some cosmetic upgrades in an attempt to add some appeal to the crossover. The event was attended by Bollywood Actor Anil Kapoor, who also promoted his upcoming sitcom ’24’ Season 2.

Updated features to be seen on the Maruti S-Cross Limited Edition includes chrome black accents on the door along with a rear spoiler. ORVMs are also finished in matte black while front bumper sports some chrome accents.

Maruti S-Cross Limited Edition receives darker shade of alloy wheels while interiors also receive updates as compared to its earlier counterpart. Interiors are seen in ambient blue lighting, faux carbon fiber trim on center console and a sports pedal pad. A Garmin transparent HUD is evident along with rear entertainment via two screens mounted on the rear of front seats.

The engine lineup on the new Maruti S-Cross Limited Edition includes a 1.3 liter diesel engine DDiS200 capable of 89 bhp power and 200 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. It also gets a 1.6 liter DDiS320 diesel engine offering 120 PS power and 320 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox.

Maruti S-Cross was launched in August 2015 at a base price of INR 8.34 lakhs. Prices were cut by INR 2.04 lakhs, despite the fact that the company increased prices across all other models by upto INR 12,000. This was done due to low-demand of Maruti S-Cross in the market.

Besides Maruti S-Cross Limited Edition, the company also unveiled Baleno RS and Ignis compact crossover in concept format at 2016 Auto Expo.
