The Ford Mustang GT has been launched in India at INR 65 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The car will lock horns with the Audi TT which is in the same price ballpark as the American pony car.

The Mustang GT will be imported into India as a CBU. The sportscar houses a 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine which churns out 401 PS and 515 Nm of torque. Delivering the output to the rear wheels is a 6-speed Select Shift automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.
The fifth generation Mustang (available in RHD for the first time) is offers four driving modes – Normal, Snow/Wet, Sport and Track. The drive modes alter the vehicle’s dynamic, engine, steering and transmission responses to suit the conditions.
The new Mustang GT comes equipped with multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, traction control, SYNC 2 touchscreen infotainment system with rear view camera, keyless entry with Ford Mykey, color MID, automatic climate control, emergency equipment pack, illuminated entry, anti-theft alarm, tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlamp, auto-dimming mirror, power folding mirrors, leather seats with electrical adjustment and so on.
The new Ford Mustang GT is available in Absolute Black, Ingot Silver, Oxford White, Race Red, Triple Yellow Tricoat, Magnetic exterior color options. The nameplate has a huge fan following in India and the sportscar’s presence in the market is expected to have a positive rub-off on Ford’s brand image in the nation.
