The Kwid is to Renault what Maruti 800 was to Maruti Suzuki. The little French hatchback has won hearts across the length and breadth of the country, helping Renault establish strong roots for years to come. Launched in September 2015, the Kwid has gone on to become one of the bestselling cars in the country – a big feat for a company that didn’t have the best of starts to its Indian operations when the collaboration with Mahindra fell apart a few years ago. Even in 2016, the Kwid topped the list of the most searched car on Cardekhoportal.

Thanks to the Kwid, Renault is now considered one of the fastest growing automakers in India. In 2016, the Kwid sold in good numbers and, to ensure that all its stock from the year is cleared, Renault has launched the Live For More Edition of the Kwid. This limited edition is available with a few cosmetic updates, both inside the cabin and outside. What’s more, though costing Rs 19,300, the updates will come at no extra cost to the customer. As per Renault dealers, this limited-edition makeover is available on all trims of the 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre (including AMT) versions of the Kwid.

What’s new? On the outside, there are dual-tone strips running across the hood, roof and sides of the car. There is a snazzy red-accentuated front grille and the wheel covers get a dash of red paint as well. Moreover, the limited edition features dual-tone roof rails and contrasting rear spoiler. Inside the cabin, the all-black interior trim gets red-coloured accents on the door panels and a dual-tone steering wheel cover.

While the 0.8-litre engine is tuned to pump out 54PS of power and 72Nm of torque, the 1.0-litre mill produces 68PS/91Nm. Prices for the Renault Kwid start at Rs 2.65 lakh for the STD 0.8 trim and go up to Rs 4.32 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi) for the RXT 1.0 AMT model that comes with a driver-side airbag.
