Tata Motors have started taking official bookings of its Tigor sedan at an upfront payment of Rs 5000 across the country. The notchback is scheduled to launch on March 29, 2017. Terming it as India’s first ‘StyleBack’, the homegrown carmaker is leaving no stone unturned to improve its product lineup on all fronts with each new offering.

Be it style, comfort, interior, features or engine, Tata has been phenomenal with its cars in the last couple of years. The Tigor becomes the third product to come out with the IMPACT design philosophy after the Tiago and the Hexa. The new breed of Tata cars is being received well and its appalling sales have finally started to pick up.

On the exterior, the Tata Tigor gets three-dimensional headlamps with smoked lens, sporty black bezel and sharp tail lamps. Based on the Tiago hatch, its length has gone up by a good 276mm resulting in more room inside the cabin. Additionally, the large rear doors and ample glass make the cabinfeel airier. The boot is massive at 419 litres! No surprises for guessing, the figures are segment best, beating the company’s Zest sedan.

The interior is equally adorable. The Tigor gets bolstered seats, dual-tone cockpit, 24 utility spaces and audio system by Harman. On top of it, there’s immense legroom at the rear, and seating three average-sized people in the compact sedan should not be a challenge. Head over to our Tata Tigor review to know more about it.

he Tigor will be powered by the same set of engines as seen in the Tiago – a 1.2-litre Revotron and a 1.05-litre Revotorq. While the former puts out max power of 85PS and 114Nm, the latter diesel motor generates 70PS and 140Nm. It also borrows the drive modes of the hatch – City and Eco.
