Nissan today launched the NissanConnect App, an app that will give customers important information about their car and family members. The app is currently available for its entire range of cars – Micra, Sunny and Terrano. The app has been developed by Renault Nissan Technology Business Centre India.

Nissan today launched the NissanConnect App, an app that will give customers important information about their car and family members. The app is currently available for its entire range of cars – Micra, Sunny and Terrano. The app has been developed by Renault Nissan Technology Business Centre India.

NissanConnect comes with 50 plus Connected Car features and three years of free subscription and one year of Nissan warranty program calculated from the start day of activation. This app is available on Android, iOS, and Windows platforms and the launch of this app marks Nissan’s entry into the Connected Car segment. The app is a factory fitted Connected Car technology solution with an embedded Telematics Control Unit paired with an inbuilt SIM for every car and a dedicated server.

Convenience wise, the app allows the user to find nearby fuel stations, Nissan dealerships and service stations. Service appointment for your car can be done via the app. Safety wise the app alerts you when the speed of the car crosses a set speed limit and also when your car moves out of a set boundary area.

Through this app, the car’s location can also be known even when not with the car, trips can be planned with weather information of the destination and fastest route guidance to the set destination. The app also features voice assisted alerts. Another interesting feature of this app is that the car’s location can be shared whenever and with whomsoever. The app also allows the user to share his/her experience with other NissanConnect community members.

Other features of the app are My Car Information, Document Wallet, Fuel Log, Service History, Trip Plan with Weather Info, Fastest Route Guidance, Roadside Assistance and Trip Tagging. Customers can download the app via the available platforms and have to contact their Nissan dealership to activate the NissanConnect app.
