To make official debut at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show November, the SUV has been spied completely undisguised in Brazil and China.

The first undisguised images of new generation Jeep compact SUV were first clicked earlier this month in Brazil, and now it has been spied in China. Sharing platform and many components with the Renegade, new Jeep C SUV will enter production at the company plant in Goiana, Brazil and in Pune, India.

Brazil plant will cater to the demand of North and South American markets, while the Indian plant will cater to the European and Asian demand. In India, the SUV will be launched in the second half of 2017.

New Jeep C SUV carries the brand’s new global design language for luxury SUVs. In the front is the trademark grille with a lot of chrome. The variant which has been spied is the top-spec variant, which comes in dual paint finish and a lot of chrome.

The headlight cluster is similar to that of Grand Cherokee, while fog light casing is similar in design to that of new generation Land Rover SUVs. On the sides, if you manage to get your attention off those chrome finished alloys, you can notice the prominent Jeep styled wheel arches in the front and rear.

Interiors too have been leaked in new spy shots. Interiors are on the lines of new generation Jeep models. It will features soft touch materials, large TFT screen in the center, chrome inserts, etc. Speaking about powertrain options, 2017 Jeep C SUV is expected to receive 2.0 liter petrol and diesel engine option. The petrol option is rated at 160 hp while the diesel is rated at 170 hp. Transmission options include 9 speed auto or a 6 speed manual.

The first made-in-India Jeep, to keep prices low, localization level of over 90% will be achieved. Once launched, it will compete with the likes of Honda CR-V, Mahindra XUV500 and the likes. Expect price to be in the range of INR 15-20 lakh.
