Just In
The engines have been carried forward from the outgoing model. It is powered by the same 1.6-litre petrol mill or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. While the petrol engine churns out 104PS of power and 145Nm of torque, the diesel is offered in two states of tune: 85PS/200Nm and 110PS/248Nm.
Nissan has introduced the facelifted version of its midsize SUV, the Terrano, in the Indian market. According to the Japanese automaker, the new SUV has 22 new features and has a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh. However, the prices go all the way up to Rs 14.2 lakh for the top-spec variant (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The Duster's new sibling has minor cosmetic tweaks and an updated feature list. Let's compare the new SUV with the outgoing model and figure out what's exactly changed.
Outside
The new SUV doesn't look different at all from the outgoing version at first glance. However, it does feature small changes like tweaked front grille, turn indicators on electrically foldable ORVMs and is also being offered with a new body colour option — Sandstone Brown. The new SUV was expected to feature upgraded bumpers, daytime running lamps and new alloy wheels, however, the automaker ultimately skipped these features. Although, you may have noticed the L-shaped LED DRLs in the front, they are being offered as an accessory and don't come along with the SUV.
Interiors
Step inside and it's where the SUV feels completely new. The older black-beige interior has given way to black-brown interiors and the new SUV also features a new matching dual-tone fabric upholstery for the seats.
Features
In terms of features the most significant change is the introduction of a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, apart from other features like one-touch lane change indicator, anti-pinch driver side power window and a driver’s armrest. The steering wheel also has been updated and now features cruise control buttons and a stalk for audio controls behind it. However, what’s disappointing is that automatic climate control hasn’t been introduced and, moreover, rear air-conditioning has been removed from the feature list.
Mechanicals
The engines have been carried forward from the outgoing model. It is powered by the same 1.6-litre petrol mill or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. While the petrol engine churns out 104PS of power and 145Nm of torque, the diesel is offered in two states of tune: 85PS/200Nm and 110PS/248Nm.
