Hyderabad: CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, country’s leading data centre with the capability to provide 99.995 per cent uptime service level agreement (SLA) mostly in telecom, IT/ITeS, manufacturing, banking, financial services, will set up its second tier-4 datacenter here.

It’s part of the ongoing three-phased expansion plan, says a top official at the company. CtrlS is expanding its global footprint from 10 countries to 20 countries this year.

Enhancing capacity is to sustain the growth in the highly challenging environment, according to Sridhar Pinnapureddy, founder and CEO, CtrlS Data centres Ltd.

We’ll invest Rs 200 crore in Telangana as we’ll build our second Tier-4 data centre facility here. The one-lakh sqft space at second data center will have not less than 300 staff and is scheduled to be operational in 2018. The current total headcount at CtrlS is 1,000 including 500 in Hyderabad,” Pinnapureddy told The Hans India.

CtrlS has drawn up investment plans for Andhra Pradesh, which’s positioning Mangalagiri as next IT hub. “Yes, we have plans for AP. This could be a part of our second phase of data centre expansion planned across five cities in India,” he said.

It raised Rs 250 crore and established state-of-the-art Tier -4 data centres in Mumbai, Noida, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Pnnapureddy further adds: “We currently operate 4 Tier-4 Data centres of the world’s 26 Tier-4 facilities. In fact, our Mumbai data centre is Asia’s largest Tier-4 data centre. Our data centres are located in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Noida and Banaglore. Our Bangalore Data centre shall be operational by end of this year.”

We have invested close to 400 crore in the last twenty four months. Besides, we have embarked on a rapid global expansion plan and have presence currently in ten countries.

In the year 2017, we plan to be present in 20 countries, while, by 2018 we shall consolidate our global presence in 40 countries across Americas, Europe, APAC, MENA regions. We’re investing Rs 1,200 crore as a part of our global expansion, we also plan to hire 500 people as a part of our global foray,” explains Pinnapureddy.

Of late, Hyderabad is witnessing global majors such as Microsoft, IBM and Amazon setting up data centres. CtrlS has established one-lakh sq ft datacentre in Bengaluru and a 20,000-sq ft datacentre in Chennai. Its largest data centre, which has 2-lakh sqft space, is in Mumbai. Delhi data centre has one-lakh sq ft space and a 40,000 sq ft datacentre in Hyderabad.
