Hyderabad: Experts from the IT industry advised software professionals to focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies to stay abreast with technology. Industry representatives further advised IT professionals to increase their awareness about Machine Learning and to explore the emerging industry use cases in this technology.

As part of the ‘TechSeries@Hysea, Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (Hysea) International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIITH) on Wednesday organised first workshop on ‘Demystifying Machine Learning’ here at IIIT Hyderabad campus. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of organizing chair Prof Ramesh Loganathan Professor Co-Innovation, IIIT Hyderabad (formerly, MD Progress Software India and President of HYSEA).

Delivering the keynote address, Prof CV Jawahar, Head of Machine Learning lab at IIIT-H, said: “While superior machine learning algorithms/deep Learning, faster systems with GPUs that accelerate deep learning, analytics, and engineering applications, New sensor technologies and IO devices will aid in adoption of AI and Machine Learning. The Challenge will be to extract knowledge from human experts.” Earlier Director, IIIT-H, Prof PJ Narayanan welcomed the participants and set the context for the workshop.
