Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi opened a new authorised service centre, 1000th one overall, in the city on Wednesday. In the last one year, the company doubled its service count from 500 in June 2017 and its exclusive service network for mobile handsets is spread across 600 cities in the country.

In the last one year, the company doubled its service count from 500 in June 2017 and its exclusive service network for mobile handsets is spread across 600 cities in the country.

“Aftersales is one of the most important functions in Xiaomi and it is the second biggest workforce in our India team. With over 6,000 work force contributing to the service network, we are building a strong network of dedicated employees who are focused on providing the best quality to our customers,” said Manu Jain, Managing Director, Xiaomi India, told the media here after inaugurating the new service centre.

He said the company’s service performance improved substantially in the last one year. “Xiaomi earned a customer satisfaction (CSAT) score of 86 per cent with an industry field failure rate (FFR) at less than half of the industry average highlighting the impressive quality and reliability standards of the company’s devices,” Jain said.
