With the many options available, we asked a few television celebs to pick their favourite monsoon getaway. Here’s what they say.

Anita Hassanandani
The beautiful actress loves to go to Lonavala during rains. She says that the hill town comes alive with green during the monsoons and is a delight during Maharashtra’s ample wet months. With a number of view-points and trekking options around, the visit to little village in Shillim (40-minute drive from Lonavla) dotted with huts and thickets makes the experience special for her. The hidden Hilton Shillim Estate Retreat is Anita’s favourite place to stay there.

Karanvir Bohra
The bad boy of television loves monsoons and makes sure to travel during the season. His favourite pick is Nashik, situated on the banks of the sacred Godavari River. Karanvir’s key attraction for Nashik remains Sula Vineyards, tucked in a cozy corner of Nasik. He says it’s the best monsoon getaway, surrounded by a serene lake on three sides and rolling hills as the backdrop.

Rithvik Dhanjani
The hottest hunk of television loves to spend the monsoons at the foothills of Himalayas. His favourite place to visit is Mussoorie, Uttrakhand. Rithvik says that there can’t be better place than Mussoorie to enjoy the serenity and splendour of Mother Nature.

Karan Tacker
The golden boy of television finds it difficult to choose between the mountains and beaches for a monsoon getaway and says he loves both and shuffles his holidays between Panchgani and Goa. While Panchgani is a beautiful Hill Station resplendent with amazing natural beauty and picturesque locations, Goa offers ample natural beauty, complete with unending carpets of greenery and a laid back way of life with delicious cuisine.

Sidhant Gupta
One of the youngest heartthrob’s of television also swears by Goa as his favourite monsoon destination. He says monsoon is a great time to avoid the throng of tourists and enjoy Goa at a leisurely pace. Sidhant loves taking a rainy walk along the beach and watch raindrops crashing into the ocean.
