Filmmaker Ram Mohan says his forthcoming flick ‘Pitta Goda’, set in the backdrop of Godavarikhani, is inspired by a few real-life incidents of the film’s director Anudeep.

“It is a coming-of- age comical flick, about the lives of four good for nothing guys sitting on ‘Pitta Goda’ (compound wall) and spending leisure in Singareni colony. We have captured the story as it is in a colony of Karimnagar. The lead pair Vishwadev Rachakonda and Punarnavi has done a great job,” says Ram Mohan, who also co-wrote the screenplay.

He adds, “ I believe there’s lot of beauty we can capture in the landscape. I also feel there’s a lot of innocence in smaller towns. Having spent so much time in villages while filming ‘Uyyala Jumpala’, village tales fascinated me a lot. Life as it is in a village is itself very interesting,” he puts in. The film is slated for an October release.
