Janatha Garage first day box office predictions

Koratala Siva’s directorial Janatha Garage featuring Jr NTR, Mohanlal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen in lead roles hit the theatres today. One of the most anticipated movies of the year, Janatha Garage is the biggest release of Jr NTR’s career so far with 1850 screens globally in Telugu & Malayalam languages.
In Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, the movie is releasing in 1000 screens, 120 screens of Kerala, 180 screens in Karnataka, 150 screens in rest of India, 200 screens in USA and 197 screens in overseas international markets.
The enormous buzz surrounding the movie has led to an immense response at the ticket windows for the advance booking. Going by the initial hype, Janatha Garage is expected to have an excellent opening at the box office with more than 50% of occupancy across the country.
The bilingual made under a normal budget of Rs. 40 crores garnered Rs 47 crores in terms of the theatrical and satellite rights. Distributed in more than four states, the movie gathered a screen space of around 1,500 in India itself and is likely to generate Rs 16 crores on the opening day.
From Andhra Pradesh & Telangana alone, the movie is expected to rake in a amount of Rs. 11.25 crores with the rest of India and overseas collections amounting to 4.75 crores.
