Sidharth dons Traditional Maori Cloak in Rotorua

Looks like Sidharth Malhotra is exploring something new each day as he holidays in the world’s most adventurous country, New Zealand. After learning how to make white flat coffee and going punting, Sidharth was seen visiting Mitai Maori village in New Zealand.

Māori are the tangata whenua - the indigenous people of the land of Aotearoa New Zealand, and their culture is an integral part of local life.

At Mitai Maori Village Sidharth had an authentic lesson in Maori culture. He expressed that, “Being invited into the waka and wearing the traditional Maori outfit was a new and empowering experience. The Maori warriors at Mitai had such a strong presence and I was totally enthralled by them. It was so cool to be able to share that experience with them I am truly fascinated by it.”
