While ‘Manamantha’ might not have given her the mileage that she desired for, despite her promising outing, Anisha Ambrose has moved on and signed ‘Fashion Designer– Son of Ladies Tailor’. The diminutive actress considers herself to be lucky to be working with the films’ director Vamsy.

To begin with, she was in two minds whether to green-lit the film or not. “But after hearing Vamsy sir’s narration, I said yes pronto. On sets he kept on teasing me, saying Anisha you were in two minds to do the film and look how beautiful you are in the songs,” she smiles.

Some portions of the film have been shot in Godavari belt and she admits having a whale of time on sets. “Every time I thought about a river, mountain and boats, the image of Kerala flashed in front of my eyes. But here you go; Godavari region is nothing short of Kerala.

Also, the best part was Vamsy sir knows East Godavari like the back of his hand,” she informs, adding, “I’m a foodie like Vamsy sir. He used to bring us delicacies from neighbouring villages. From Natukodi to biryani, everything was on the menu during lunch.”

While she is guarded about her role Maha Lakshmi in the comic caper, pointing out that it’s too early to shed light about it, she admits to be scared of Vamsy initially. “The way he expresses on sets is a bit loud but once you know more about his style, which is completely different school, you will understand that he is a sweetheart. Also, he is very sarcastic,” she laughs.

Heaping high praise on Vamsy, the technician, she adds, “During the filming, he took a couple of shots of mine and I failed to understand their purpose as I found them to be weird. But when I saw the final output I was blown away by the way he integrated those shots into a sequence.”

Thanks to the shooting at Papikondalu, she realised that she can live without a cell phone. “For eight days I was without a cell phone as there was no connectivity over there. I came back feeling, ‘wow, I can survive without a mobile.’

We’ve stayed in a small hut like structure at Papikondalu, which was specially constructed for the unit and which had provision for only one bed. My father and my sister accompanied me to the shoot and we’ve all adjusted in room. Post the shoot; other places have just become luxury. There were occasions where I felt grateful for what I have,” she ends.
